VA may provide care through community providers when medically needed care cannot be provided by VA—considering eligibility, whether VA can furnish the care, and your individual needs and circumstances. When community care applies, authorized Veterans can work with VA and network providers to receive covered care in the community as outlined on VA.gov Community Care.

VA Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits provide monthly payments added to the amount of a monthly VA pension for qualified Veterans and survivors. If you need help with daily activities, or you are housebound, use the resources on VA.gov to see if you qualify.
You may be eligible if you get a VA pension and at least one of the following is true:
